Sustainable Food Cities Sugar Smart Campaign Grants Round 2

We are now welcoming applications for Round 2 of Sugar Smart Campaign Grants. You will find the application form here.

As in Round 1, the aim is to support local food partnerships to take part in our annual thematic campaigns in the form of person-time though the application may include some resource funding. We are offering grants of up to £5,000 each and we strongly encourage match funding. The campaign activity should last 12 months but the grant spend does not have to cover the whole of the campaign period.

Please ensure you fill in all the sections of the application form and return to sofia@sustainweb.org by 5pm on Tuesday 30th of May 2017.

Any questions related to this grant should also be addressed to sofia@sustainweb.org

Book your place for one of two Sugar Smart Campaign workshops

We will be holding two Sugar Smart Campaign workshops for Network members. You can attend regardless of whether you have received - or are intending on applying for - a Sugar Smart Grant.

The workshops are designed to inspire and support SFC members to run successful Sugar Smart campaigns. You will have the opportunity to share experiences and tips of what makes a successful campaign and get up to speed with the Sugar Smart framework and assets available.

The workshops will include support from Sofia Parente, Campaigns Coordinator for Sustainable Food Cities and Jo Ralling from the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation. There will also be support from up and running sugar reduction campaigns such as GULP in Liverpool and Sugar Smart in Bristol.

For those participants intending to apply for Round 2 of Sugar Smart Campaign Grants, we encourage you to come with a fairly developed idea of what you would like to achieve so that the workshop can help you fine tune your application before submission.

The workshops will take place in:

Liverpool, 9 May, 11am-3:30pm
The Quaker Meeting House | 22 School Lane | Liverpool L1 3BT

Bristol, 11 May, 11am-3:30pm
Bristol City Council | City Hall College Green | Bristol BS1 5TR

Please email Sofia Parente sofia@sustainweb.org to book your place stating which local food partnership you are coming on behalf of and the usual contact details (name, email, phone number). Allocation of places will be on a first come first served basis.
