The global Covid-19 pandemic is affecting the lives of everyone in some way. In the face of the current crisis we have been reviewing how our Phase 3 programme can and should adapt. As the first step, we approached our funders to seek reassurance that we can be flexible with our members and can reorganise our budget to better support them and reconfigure our team response. We reviewed our planned work strands to decide which ones we should continue to progress on, adapt or postpone. We have also created a new work strand with the aim of supporting the local convening and response to the food emergency created by the Covid-19 pandemic.

We would like to encourage anyone involved in supporting community food responses to the Covid-19 crisis to subscribe to our email distribution list which is packed with useful information, examples of local responses and problem-solving. This is how you can subscribe: send an email to sfc-subscribe@lists.riseup.net. Once subscribed you can ask your questions or share info by emailing sfc@lists.riseup.net and it will be received by all. To unsubscribe from this list, email sfc-unsubscribe@lists.riseup.net.

We publish regular SFP Covid-19 Digests based on input and discussion coming through from the Sustainable Food Places Network of food partnerships across the UK.

We also jointly host with Food Power a weekly online forum for food poverty alliance and food partnership coordinators to connect and share with each other, hear national updates on food-related issues, and feedback their on the ground experiences to national network coordinators and campaigners.

We are collating and sharing up to date information to support local food responses to Covid-19 https://www.sustainablefoodplaces.org/coronavirus/
