Fair Food Renfrewshire

We are Fair Food Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire's Sustainable Food Places Partnership.

We are overseen by a Steering Group, chaired by Laura McIntyre (Head of Policy and Partnerships, Renfrewshire Council), whose membership consists of:

  • Renfrewshire Council
  • Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership
  • Engage Renfrewshire
  • Renfrewshire Foodbank
  • Public Health Scotland
  • Lochwinnoch Community Larder (LEAP)

The Steering Group membership has expertise in community engagement, food support, economic development, health improvement, regeneration, communications, education, Net Zero and facilities management.

The partnership was born in 2022 and formally created in 2023 following stakeholder engagement sessions which created the Vision and Charter for the partnership, as well as the four main initial priorities for us to work towards.

Food plays an essential role in improving individual and community health and wellbeing; as well as dealing with some of Renfrewshire’s high priority social, economic and environmental issues.

From diet-related ill-health to food poverty and waste, climate change and biodiversity, food is not only at the centre of some of the greatest problems, but also a vital part of the solution.
