Good Food Lewisham

Good Food Lewisham is a network of passionate people working together to change the world of food in the London Borough of Lewisham. Our vision is to see our home become a diverse and lively community that connects people to healthy, sustainable and affordable food that is grown, produced and prepared locally to promote a vibrant food culture and prospering local economy.

GFL was founded in 2016 as part of the Sustainable Food Cities project to help Lewisham become an official Good Food Borough in London by achieving a Bronze Award under the leadership of GCDA.

Since April 2022, Lewisham Local, a local charity is the new provider to host Good Food Lewisham to work towards achieving Silver.

What we do

We are currently developing a network of food growers in Lewisham to increase the amount of food grown in the borough and access to land, and to support our network of food banks and community food organisations which formed during Covid-19 to provide support Lewisham's most vulnerable residents. We are currently supporting the development of a food justice plan for Lewisham.

We host Lewisham Refill and support Sugar Smart.
