The Grow Cook Connect! Event was developed to network those involved in food growing, cooking and community cafes as well as inspire people and celebrate the various projects and initiatives happening across the city. Aims of the event included;
Showcasing existing food work funded by Health Improvement Fund or Food in Focus
Raise the profile of GCGF and its strategic role in food work in the city
Collate information about the food needs/issues in Aberdeen
Launch the city food growing strategy
Raise the profile of the AHSCP signing the food charter
The event was developed and delivered by the partnership work of 3 city food groups:
• Aberdeen Health and Social Care Partnership Granite City Good Food Group
• Executive group of the Aberdeen Community Food Network
• Granite City Good Food
The event was attended by a total of 65 individuals from different organizations serving as a good platform to network, share knowledge, experience and ideas.
