Since its launch in August 2013, the Sustainable Food Cities (SFC) network has seen many fledgling food partnerships joining. Many are at a point of identifying the gaps in their knowledge both about food issues locally, and also where there is data or research elsewhere in the UK that might help inform them.

This webinar, chaired by Ben Reynolds of Sustain, was jointly organised by SFC and the Food Research Collaboration, explored how we can better connect the research community with research needs locally, and how we can identify what those gaps are across the network. We heard from the following presenters:

Food Research Collaboration Tim Lang, City University Centre for Food Policy
Building a research–civil society relationship fit for purpose Ellie Dowding, Food Newcastle
The food network: past experiments, current predicaments Rachael Durrant, University of Sussex

Unfortunately due to technical problems Sarah Watson was unable to give her presentation:

Partnering with Bournemouth University: Sarah Watson, Bournemouth and Poole Food Partnership
