In this session we looked at the public consultation to end online HFSS advertising to reduce child obesity launched by the Department of Health (deadline 22 December). Sustain is preparing a response and would like to encourage local Public Health teams, food partnerships and other organisations to submit their own responses.
Grant Reekie shared details of Glasgow’s Chef Challenge. This Masterchef-style cook-off is organised by Glasgow Community Food Network as part of the Veg Cities Glasgow campaign which is calling for more growing space in the city and for more locally grown veg in food service. It is now in its third year but for the first time took place in the open air due to Covid-19 restrictions.
