The Inspiring Food event is being kindly hosted by Edinburgh College at their Granton Campus during Fairtrade Fortnight on Friday 25th February from 11am to 2pm.

The event will showcase the work being done by food businesses, organisations, city universities, Edinburgh College and the wider community which supports Edinburgh's vision to be a leading sustainable food place.

This is an opportunity to meet the people and learn about the range of food-related activities going on in Edinburgh, with representatives from the city's food businesses, food charities and pantries, growing projects and cooking classes attending.

The event will include:

Cooking demonstrations and tastings using local produce

Practical support and tools to help you reduce your food waste

Information on growing your own food

Fairtrade stall and products

Fresh vegetables and produce from our community food partners

We will be launching a new Sustainable Food Directory, a new tool to reach a wider audience and support our local food economy with information on buying, eating, growing and reducing food waste.

Join us on the day to network, exchange ideas and be inspired by the ways that sustainable actions are an important part of our goals to make Edinburgh carbon net zero by 2030. We cna through some of of our own actions and campaigns for legislative change, shape our future food system.
